Tweaking and Testing

In the future, this will be my weblog, continuing the same coverage of science news, concepts, and issues that I’ve been doing in print media for the past three years. Combined with the Mindcast, this new “Mindlog” will aim to inject discussion and understanding of science into the public.Currently, the Mindlog is undergoing tweaking and testing, as I will be setting it up to suit my needs and style. Okay, so it didn’t launch on the winter solstice, it will instead launch on Sunday, January 15, 2006.

  1. I love your Mindcast because of it’s content but also your voice is playful yet cynical and easy to hear while I wash dishes. I also like the pace of the mindcast. Your new partner is a welcome addition although her voice is much louder and piercing. I have crohn’s disease which perks my interest in nutrition and genetics.

  2. Am I right in that the Mindcast hasn’t been updated since December?

    I don’t get anything newer.

Love your audio show buddy, please bring it back! Your Blog is fun, but the podcast was a anticipated part of my pod programming.

    I hope all is well.

MadMax, thank you for the compliment on the show! Although several shows since then have been edited and uploaded, you won’t see them in the show list, as the xml file has not been updated yet. This is because the December 15 show needed to be fixed and I didn’t want to have people listen to them out of order. I’m doing a huge amount of editing this weekend, and I should have all shows up until Feb 9 uploaded by V-day. (There’s a good interview on that one that is very pertinent to the holiday.) I’ll be putting up a big post explaining everything and a few changes to the show very soon, including how I’ll be integrating the mindcast and mindlog. -KJM
