In other news, Bill Maher finally expressed his true opinions of vaccines while interviewing Bill Frist. After being told he was crazy by a doctor, he followed up with being told he was crazy by three non-doctors the following week. Antiscience comes in many strains and Maher’s got a bad case of the Doubtbreak.

Ladies and gentlemen, don’t wait, inoculate!

P.S. I love how Jon Stewart worked in a joke about being a “Pasteurized Milk Drinker!” Take that, Raw Milkers!

  1. I saw both Maher vaccine outbursts… was sort of disappointing as I am generally a big fan – at least in the followup he clarified the position somewhat to explain that he was merely raising questions rather than flat out denying the efficacy of vaccination (although was still so far on the bounds of scientific reasoning that for those few minutes he probably had more in common with flat earthers than he’d like to admit)… it was however a shame that this topic didnt come up when Richard Dawkins was on the show (which was disappointing in itself as Dawkins really didnt get to say much at all) as I’m pretty sure a crusader against anti-science like Dawkins could have given a slightly better rebuttal than a panel of political types and comedians (if I remember the lineup at all)
